De-Addiction Awareness Program

Punjab is one of the most prosperous states in India. Despite being known for its fertile land, abundant resources, and being the country’s breadbasket, Punjab is struggling with a serious problem that has now reached epidemic proportions. According to a recent United Nations report, Punjab has the second-highest number of drug addicts in India. Shockingly, nearly 80% of those aged between 16 and 35 are addicted to drugs such as opium, heroin, painkillers, amphetamines, and more. The root causes of this widespread drug addiction in Punjab are many, including unemployment and economic expectations. To address this issue, SGF conducts awareness rallies and seminars in schools and colleges to raise awareness and help change the lives of many people.
